News item posted: 19 June 2017

On Sunday 22 June Turning Point's Wreckreational team held a stall offering advice and information on Novel Psychoactive Substances, sometimes known as 'legal' highs or party drugs, at the Wakefield Armed Forces Day at Nostell Priory.

'Wreckreational' is a team of experienced Turning Point recovery workers dedicated to offering advice, support and treatment to users of Novel Psychoactive Substances or party drugs.

During the summer the team will be available at local clubs and music venues across the district as well as attending community events to raise awareness and offer support to individuals.

Dave Taylor, Team leader at Turning Point in Wakefield said;

"This was Wreckreational's second year in attendance at the Armed Forces Day. We really built on the successes of the first year and were able to engage with a number of people on the day."

"Throughout the summer we will be visiting numerous events across Wakefield and District offering advice and information around the uses of Novel Psychoactive Substances. If you see us around please come say hello and find out more."
