Turning Point launches East Kent Wellbeing Cloud

News item posted: 19 June 2017

Turning Point has launched The Wellbeing Cloud in East Kent, aiming to provide health and recovery guidance to users of Turning Point’s substance misuse services.

The website, which makes support and advice easily accessible, and offers opportunities for remote appointments, will soon be rolled out in other locations where Turning Point delivers services.

As well as providing useful information for service users, the inspiration section contains stories from people who have used the service themselves.

The site is based on feedback from service users and staff and was developed in consultation with them.

Darren Woodward, Turning Point’s Director of Transformation said: ‘The Wellbeing Cloud is a real move forward for us and paves the way for delivering innovative services online. It is really important for us to build a sense of community through the Wellbeing Cloud. We are looking to continue developing the site with the people we support as well as partner with other organisations to create additional tools and useful information.’

Andy Power, Operations Manager at Out There Everywhere East Kent said: ‘I am pleased that we can provide another platform for service users to easily access support and advice. The Wellbeing Cloud is just one of the ways we can help inspire recovery and we hope that the information provided on the website is of use to both future service users and existing clients. The website was created in consultation with service users and we will be building on the content and design as and when we receive feedback.’
