In response to David Cameron's speech on crime and rehabilitation, Turning Point's Director of Substance Misuse Services, Jackie Kennedy said;

"The Prime Minister's emphasis on rehabilitation is positive but we cannot expect to see successful outcomes without the necessary level of support. We need to remember that we are treating a whole person, not just an offender or an addict. To see better rates of rehabilitation the government needs to ensure there is better support in the community following prison particularly in relation to housing, education, training and employment. Only with this level of support will we be able to reduce the number of repeat offenders"
