Turning Point appoints Dr Felix Davies as new Managing Director for Mental Health Services

Turning Point has appointed Dr Felix Davies as Managing Director for Mental Health Services.

Felix makes the move to Turning Point from South Staffordshire & Shropshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust where he was Director of Psychological Services and the organisation's lead for its 9 IAPT services.

Prior to this Felix was Director of Psychological Therapies at Rotherham, Doncaster & South Humber NHS Foundation Trust and Clinical Lead for the Doncaster National Demonstration Site for IAPT, which won the National Health and Social Care Service Transformation Award. He has also held the positions of National Honorary Secretary for the British Psychological Society Division of Clinical Psychology, and Chair of the West Midlands Regional Advisory Committee for Applied Psychological Services.

A registered Practitioner Psychologist and practising Consultant Clinical Psychologist working with adults with complex mental health needs, Felix is also a member of the NHS Confederation Mental Health Network Board and a lecturer at the Keele & Staffordshire Universities Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.

Felix is a champion for the causes of those whose complex needs tend not to be met by existing services and for developing collaborative multi-agency responses. He also has a particular interest in developing the accessibility and flexibility of services to meet the needs of diverse groups more effectively.

Discussing his recent appointment Felix said;
