We’re pleased to confirm that Fiona Ritchie OBE, Managing Director of Turning Point’s Learning Disability services, has been appointed as a Trustee for the Voluntary Organisations Disability Group (VODG).

Steve Scown the Chair of VODG today announced Fiona’s appointment to the board of trustees following an election process.

Steve said: 'I am delighted to announce that Fiona Ritchie has been elected to VODG’s board of trustees. Fiona’s breadth of expertise across children’s and adult services in the public and voluntary sectors as well as her commitment to putting people who use services at the centre of decision making will further strengthen VODG’s board.'

Fiona Ritchie OBE said: 'I am passionate about addressing the barriers faced by disabled people and believe now is a critical time for change. VODG’s vision for full choice and control provides the drive to share learning between organisations and to promote good practice. All providers have a critical role to play in influencing future provision and I very much look forward to working across the sector in pursuit of this goal.'
