Turning Point’s Group Board of Directors are recruiting a Non-Executive Member

News item posted: 17 March 2017

Turning Point is a leading health and social care organisation which delivers over 200 integrated health and social care services to individuals and communities across England and Wales. We are looking for a professional with strong business and financial experience within the health and social care sector to join us as a Non-Executive Board Member.

This is an exciting time to be part of our team. Turning Point is a not-for-dividend social enterprise working to the highest standards of professionalism and quality. We reinvest our profits into improved services for the people we serve, and our strategic plan enables us to influence and shape the role of the third sector in public service delivery within health and social care. As a result, we are actively working with like-minded commissioners to transform the sector and establish leading-edge and highly integrated services that provide exceptional care and support.

Our unitary Board is based on commercial models and includes people with experience from across a range of areas. You will work in partnership with the executive team as an equal member of the Board - maintaining standards of governance, agreeing strategy, monitoring corporate performance and ensuring that the business develops in line with Turning Point's vision, mission and objectives. Your direct experience of delivering services to the public sector in health and social care must be supported by a good understanding of the quality standards and risks associated with NHS health and social care delivery. With an extensive network of relevant contacts, you will also know how to work effectively in a team and effect change in a complex social enterprise.

We hope that you will be as excited as we are by our vision for the future of Turning Point, and that you will relish the opportunity to be part of a Board in which consensus decision-making and supportive challenge are the norm.

Submissions must be made by 28th October and interviews are scheduled to take place at the end of November. Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to meet or speak informally with the Chief Executive and to visit Turning Point services as required.
